so if you ever read that vegetarian post that i wrote. you know how my mom flipped out about the whole “not enough protein” thing and made me a huge angus burger? well..today i opened the freezer and found 2 full boxes of burgers with “extra” protein. i think shes really overdoing it LOL
Vegetarians get all the protein they need, if not more than meat eaters. As a vegetarian, you’re eating a lot of beans, lentils, wheat, and grain right? And of course rice. Then your mom has nothing to worry about. Too much protein ESPECIALLY ANIMAL PROTEIN can impair our kidneys, cause a lot of diseases, and take away nutrients from our body. Plus, no such thing called a protein deficiency exists. Tell this to your mom, tell her she should be encouraging your healthier lifestyle, and go vegan. :)
